Hi there! My name is Natasha (she/her/they). I have been working with queer and neurodivergent folks for over ten years. My roles in mental health have extended to volunteering, outreach, and professionally working to create safe neighbourhoods for queer folk. My community work has exposed me to working with anger, traumatic brain injuries, victims of crime and family conflict.
One of my areas of focus includes working with folks who are transitioning or having questions about their gender identity. This can come with its own set of new tensions between family and friends. I want to create a safe place for us to explore new emotions, expectations and experiences that have impacted you during this time. Together we can work at finding tools to support boundaries, emotional regulation and reduce anxieties.
My counselling style is highly collaborative, which allows for us to work at creating a tailored approach to support culturally relevant, personalized goals in our sessions. This, in combination with a trauma-informed lens, means that we work at the pace you set.
I am a very open and welcoming person who looks forward to building trust with my clients and assisting in working through adversities impacting their lives.
