Matthew Mascioli, MA, RP
Life moves fast — and sometimes we don't realize we're struggling until we're already running on empty. Deciding to reach out for support takes courage, and I want to make that step feel as easy and welcoming as possible. My goal is simple: to meet you where you are, and help you get to where you want to be.
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. How we work together will be shaped by you — your personality, pace, comfort level, strengths, readiness for change, and what actually feels helpful. What stays consistent is a prioritization of building a strong, warm, and trust-filled therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, understood, and free to show up as your authentic self.
Here's what I can help with:
- Anxiety & Depression — Understanding what's driving it and building tools that actually work in your day-to-day life
- Self-Esteem, Identity & Self-Compassion — Learning to see yourself with more kindness and less judgment
- Emotional Regulation — Deepening your relationship with self through careful, curious exploration - working towards improved regulation
- ADHD & OCD — Navigating daily life with more ease, clarity, and self-compassion
- Substance Use — Working towards recognition, deeper understanding, and ultimately healthier patterns
- Relationships — Providing support for improved communication and conflict management tools
- LGBTQ+ Affirmative Care — A genuinely affirming space for identity exploration and community-specific experiences
My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, with practical tools drawn from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT), and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) —tailoring the therapeutic approach to your individual needs and goals.
I'm currently accepting new clients for virtual therapy across Ontario. If you think we might be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you — free consultations are always available.
